The forge
The Forge is located in Georgeham which was home to the famous author Henry Williamson who put North Devon on the map with his stories of Tarka the otter. Georgeham is a beautiful and historic village just 2 miles from Croyde and close to both Croyde and Putsborough beaches.
Croyde
Croyde is on the Northern coastline of Devon and enjoys the luxury of warm waters which originate in the Caribbean and follow the Gulf Stream through the Atlantic ocean.
Due to the warm waters and clean beach, Croyde Bay has become one of the top venues in the UK for surfing and is well supported by surfing shops and schools. Croyde beach is amongst the top 5 in the country.
Croyde's famous thatched roofed cottages are surrounded by un spoilt countryside which meets the dramatic rocky coastline. The village is surrounded by a range of country walks to suit all ages across un spoilt National Trust land.
If you just wish to relax, you could take a stroll around Croyde's delightful craft and gift shops then refresh yourself at a cream tea shop or one of Croyde's many restaurants each with its unique character. Croyde village has a local shop for groceries but there is a regular bus service to nearby Braunton and Barnstaple if you need a Town centre.
Woolacombe
Camberley Apartments are situated in Woolacombe with great views of the village and of the sea. Woolacombe bay has fantastic beaches and is world famous throughout the surfing community. Surf gear can be hired for everyone who wants to enjoy the great waves. The beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag and Premiere Beach awards, and the water quality, facilities and cleanliness are excellent.
Whether you want a holiday of relaxation, family fun or something a little more strenuous, you will be spoilt for choice here! You can choose from surfing, horse riding, visiting galleries, or walking.

There are family friendly beaches at Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe.
You will find exhilarating coastal walks at Croyde, Morthoe, Lee Bay and Lynton.
If you fancy browsing in craft shops or sampling the local cuisine you can visit Appledore, Lynton, Braunton, Ilfracombe

* Diving/Snorkeling - spectacular diving and snorkeling within the Marine Nature Reserve off Lundy Island. Situated 12 miles off the coast land, regular ferries depart from Ilfracombe and Bideford, coastal trips are available from Appledore, Ilfracombe and Lynmouth.

Directions
From the M5 motorway, take junction 27 at Tiverton and join the A361 (North Devon Link Road) until you reach Barnstaple. Continue through Barnstaple and along the A361 until Braunton.
For Georgeham, turn left at Braunton and follow the B3231 signed for Georgeham and Croyde.
For Woolacombe, continue along the A361 until you reach the Mullacott Cross Roundabout where you take the left hand turning to Woolacombe. Continue down the main approach road into Woolacombe and Camberley will be found on the right hand side just before the Royal Hotel.
The scenic Tarka line from Exeter to Barnstaple connects with Intercity trains, National Express and local bus services enable you to complete your journey. Call travel line on 0870 608 2608 for information.
